Registered texting
Your own name on every text
What it is
Every text your secretary sends goes through the US carriers under a registration called 10DLC. New accounts start on Code Savant's shared registration so texting works on day one. Registered texting gives your business its own registration: your own brand with the carriers, your own campaign, and your number moved onto it.
Why it matters
Your own sender reputation (nobody else's complaints can touch your deliverability), higher daily limits, and texts that arrive from your number under your business name.
What you need
- Your business's legal name and address, exactly as filed.
- Your EIN — or, if you don't have one, the owner's mobile (the registry texts a code to it).
- Your website, if you have one.
What happens, step by step
- You click “Register my texting” on the Phones page. We send your details to the registry.
- Being verified — the registry checks the business. Hours, sometimes a day. Sole proprietors: check your phone for a 6-digit code and enter it on the card.
- Campaign under review — the carriers review the registration. Typically 1–3 business days.
- Moving your number — your number is mapped onto your own campaign. Usually hours.
- Live — your secretary tells you, and texts go out under your own name.
What it costs
$20 a month, as an add-on. Our registration fees are included. Remove it any time; your number goes back to the shared registration the same day.
Questions
Why was I on a shared registration?
So you could text on day one; registration takes days.
What if I don't have an EIN?
Choose “sole proprietor”. The registry verifies you by texting the owner's mobile instead.
Will my number change?
No. The same number moves onto your own campaign.
Can I cancel?
Yes — remove the add-on under Account. We release the campaign for you.
Why did the registry reject my business name?
The name and address must match what's filed with the IRS or your state. Fix it under Business and click again; nothing is charged twice.
What counts as consent to text?
Someone who texted you first, gave their number when they called or booked and agreed to texts, or used your booking form. Reply STOP always works.
